The Sánchez Paraíso Multipurpose Building was born from the need to provide the city of Salamanca with cultural spaces in preparation for the European Capital of Culture in 2002.
In this way, the Salamanca 2002 Consortium, together with the Salamanca City Council, is constructing a building with a capacity for more than 6,000 spectators, with the possibility of holding all kinds of sporting, cultural and leisure events, as well as a fitness area and a hydrotherapy area.
The Sánchez Paraíso Multi-Purpose Hall allows the celebration of any type of event, given that it is a multi-purpose covered space, designed to be used for sporting, recreational, cultural and other public and social events.
Due to its large capacity, this facility is the venue of choice for cultural events with large audiences or which, due to their nature, require a highly versatile medium; it is the appropriate space for large concerts, given the possibilities it offers to accommodate a large number of attendees and is capable of housing a large stage at the same time, accompanied by technical facilities that enable the rapid assembly of large structures.
This, together with its large capacity, makes this venue the ideal setting for any artistic, musical and cultural event, from a minimum capacity of 500 people to a maximum capacity of over 6,000 people.
The Multiusos Sánchez Paraíso is one of the most versatile venues in the whole of Castilla y León as it can configure and adapt the central court of the venue to hold events in different modalities or capacities, in such a way that production costs can be optimised for any type of event, concert, musical, show, theatre, motor sports championships and official matches of the Spanish national basketball team and other countries.
